benefit and HIP shopping

i love getting new things especially when it comes in the mail and i didn't have to leave my house to get any of it. yah! i finally received my benefit stuff the other day and i love it...but i won't be ordering off the website again, more on this later. so here it all is....you rebel lite, georgia blush, 24k gold lip gloss, get even pressed powder foundation, realness of concealness kit, benetint lip balm, 5 creaseless cream eyeshadow/liners in my date's brother, rsvp, towne car, skinny jeans and carte blanche. i've been kinda busy getting ready for the baby that's coming anytime over the next week or so, so i haven't tried out most of the products but so far i'm loving the you rebel lite tinted moisturizer. it does smell a bit like sunblock but that's alright and the coverage is decent so for 30 bucks it wasn't too shabby of a purchase...i will however be trying out the stila illuminating tinted moisturizer next time just to compare. the 24k gold lip gloss is also amazing! it smells like fuzzy peaches...mmmm! and it has a nice not too sticky glossiness to it.

so here are my benefit spoils...okay fine they're all empty boxes cause i couldn't wait to open everything but this is kinda what it looked like when i first received it.

here's most of it opened up...going around clockwise starting from the pinkish cream shadow is my date's brother, carte blanche, towne car, realness to concealness kit (oh la lift, lip plump, high beam, lemon aid, and boing), skinny jeans, rsvp, benetint lipbalm and get even.

so for the first time ever i tried to do swatches of the colors but as you can see the lighting was complete shit and you can't really see any of the colors...i'll try to redo this if anyone shows any interest about the colors. starting from my pinky is rsvp, carte blanche, my date's brother, towne car, and skinny jeans. on the palm of my hand are 24k gold lip gloss, HIP color rich cream crayon in meticulous and unmistakeable. meticulous is kind of a bronzey color while unmistakeable is a coppery red. both are really really pretty and they apply really nicely...i will definately be looking for more of these crayons when i head back to montreal cause they don't seem to have any in vancouver.

so about the benefit website...as a side note you should probably know that i love free shipping since almost no one ships to canada for free. anyway i placed two orders on the same day because i took another look after paying and decided to buy a few more items that were to be discontinued. since i used the promotional code for free international shipping i thought at most they would charge me a lil bit in handling fees since the items were coming from san fran. WRONG! when the mail lady came to my door the packages were marked COD and i was charged 24.07 for shipping fees even though the items were being delivered byDHL in ontario canada. i emailed benefit and they sent me some bullshit reply about how each country has their own laws regarding handling fees. after working for email and chat support i know how these stupid ass pre written emails are and i hate them! they never answer the specific question you're asking and the person replying to your email obviously just scanned your email quickly and replied with the fist thing they found in their kana tree of bullshit responses. stupid benefit i hate you and your lying ass free international shipping promotional code!
