i was kinda bored tonight so i thought i'd be a what's in your bag post cause i love it when other people do these kinda posts. there's nothing too special in here but i just realized how much unused make up i carry around on a day to day basis...i really need to lighten the load. i didn't include a picture of my phone and camera which are permanent fixtures in my purses but whatever.

on another note i had dinner with my cousin and aunt the other day and my cousin got me some free clinique makeup from the duty free. yah! i loves me some free makeup. she got me the high definition lashes in black brown and quickliner for eyes in roast coffee. the quickliner is awesome! it doesn't smudge, rub off or run and it applies really smoothly compared to the crappy rimmel eyeliners i've been using. the mascara doesn't seem that special though...i compared it to my rimmel mascara and there wasn't really much difference between the cheap one and the clinique one. if i was gonna pay 2.5 times the price for a mascara i'd really hope to see some sort of a difference after applying it numerous times. the good thing about it was that there was no clumping no matter how much i applied.

pros: no clumping, sleek little container, lengthened lashes, defined just as much as a black masara would, FREE

cons: price, really weird wand, multiple coats before i saw much difference in before and after



from this picture you can kinda see the weird wand i was talking about...one side is like a regular wand and the other side resembles a lash comb. this probably would be very effective if you were used to using this mascara but as a noob it was a little weird and difficult to use.

my goodies

today i bought my very first laptop and i'm in love with it!! it's super tiny so it's gonna be great for travelling or just sitting in bed reading blogs. plus it comes with a built in webcam and i love webcam pics...they totally make average looking people look hawt. the keyboard is kinda on the tiny side though so typing is slightly different from what i'm used to but i'm sure i'll be fine in a couple of days.

i also received all my forever 21 stuff the other day and i'm still amazed at how much i could buy for just over 100 dollars. two pairs of jeans, four tank tops, two pairs of pants, two skirts, a hoodie, a sweater, leggings, a dress and clips for my hair.



i've been buying a lot of greys and blacks lately...i wonder if this is a pre postpartum sign or the weather has just been gloomy and depressing me. i don't fit into anything so i couldn't properly try anything on just yet but everything seems to be the right size and i love having a whole assload of new clothes to wear when i'm done being pregnant. i absolutely think it's a lady's right to have as much pretty clothes as she wants after carrying a child in her uterus for 10 months. yes that's right 40 weeks is equal to 10 weeks don't let people trick you into thinking it's only 9 months.

i practically live in tank tops and for 4.50 each i bought every color that had my size...which actually wasn't much. the black pants in the back were way too big for me so i gave them to my mom. the tag said XS which is the same size as the linen pants but they fit my mom who's about 4-5 pant sizes larger than i am. the linen pants seem to fit fine though...i had irregular sizing it makes shopping online such a bitch.

speed shopping

yah! i finally got out of the house today and went shopping with my mom and the kids. shopping right now kinda sucks since nothing fits me and i can't button anything up but beggars can't be choosers and i was lucky to get out for a trip to the mall. i didn't end up getting much for myself since my forever 21 shipment should get here in a few days but i did pick up two cardigans from zara. I LOVE CARDIGANS! i don't care if they're for grannies i think they're sexy as hell and they keep me warm. i'm really into grey right now so i got a grey one and a black one...it was only 100 bucks for two which is not too shabby cause the quality is pretty good. i really really wanted to get this 100% cashmere one but even the smallest size was freaking huge and it wasn't that nice. gosh cashmere is soft though it makes you want to take off all your clothes and roll around on it. i really need to find a nice cashmere sweater so i can feel posh and luxurious.

i took a couple of pictures of my new things cause i love it when people post pictures of their shopping spoils. this is quite a disappointing first haul though and i will not be modeling these as i'm freaking huge and don't take pictures when i'm pregnant.





i also got a whole bunch of baby things cause i'm out of control and a compulsive shopper. the disney store has the cutest pajamas...the material is complete crap but the pictures are so nice that i don't care if it'll fall apart after a couple of washes. i finaly got the talking buzz lightyear doll for my baby boy cause he was being really good for once and i LOVE IT! i feel like i just fell into the movie when i'm playing with it. the helmet does the cool wooosh thing, it talks, has a laser and the wings shoot out just like the real buzz's does. i love you toy story if only i'd discovered you when i was younger maybe you coulda kept me out of some trouble...yeah probably not.

makeup and things

so today i was really on the ball and decided to take a bunch of pictures of things that i thought would make an interesting blog entry and once the babes were sleeping i would make an entry about something other than my regular boring life. so 12am rolls around my princess finally falls asleep and i grab my usb cable to upload pictures to discover that the laptop i borrowed from my dad does not have any usb ports!! what??? what kind of laptop doesn't have usb ports!! this is what happens when you suck and don't bring a computer home with you when you know you'll be stuck here for a minimum of 3 months.

anyway i'm gonna try to make a somewhat interesting entry anyway since i have nothing better to do and i'm bored outta my mind.


i bought this the other day cause i had the exchange the all in one face base that no longer comes in my color. the texture of this isn't too bad it's creamy and applies pretty evenly but the compact is almost the same size as my iphone which is pretty massive in my mind...however it is oddly light which makes me think there isn't too much product and it'll run out pretty quickly. this doesn't really bother me since the thing was free with my love your body points anyway but if i were to actually pay for it things might be different. i got the 01 color which is their lightest shade and it's pretty similar to my actual skin color without making me look too pinky. pretty sure i won't be switching over from my bare escentuals anytime soon though cause this kinda feels like it's clogging my pores and the coverage isn't that great.

pretty horseshit review on a product most people probably aren't interested in in the first place but whatever it kept me occupied for a full 10 minutes. i'm so damn lonely i feel like some old maid that's surrounded by cats but instead of cats i'm surrounded my really cute babies. since i'm officially unemployed as of august 1st 2008 i won't be working at all this pregnancy which is kind of a weird thing for me. usually i work for enough of the pregnancy to get me some EI benefits and get paid out for the rest of the year. i know i completely take advantage of the canadian government but if you were in the same position you'd do the same. so this time around i stayed with my hubby up until 3 weeks ago and now i'm freaking alone here in BC. i'm so pathetic now i can't be alone for even 3 weeks without getting all bitter and irritable. hubby had some visitors this weekend and they went to the new kids on the block concert and to this really interesting restraunt for dinner. instead of being happy that he had friends to keep him company i had to be bitter that his friends (who are dating) were able to see one another and i had to spend the weekend alone alone alone. damn my hormones and damn my bitterness! i better find a better way to cope rather than shop online all the time cause i'm running out of things that i want and can buy online. i finally checked out the forever21 site and bought 15 things for 118 dollars! what?? holy cheap ass!! i love things that are on sale even though i probably wouldn't have bought most of it if it weren't on sale i still feel like i'm getting such a bargain. i've also discovered facial shop which is also amazing! i ended up getting all these things that have received such awesome reviews from beauty bloggers for a lot less than i would have spent if i just went to clarins and clinque. i can't wait to get my packages in the mail and flaunt all my new shit on this blog!

getting nippy out

so I'm blogging from my phone again cause my ghetto ass doesn't have a computer here. It's getting freaking cold here in Vancouver! I'm seriously missing the 20ish degrees weather already plus my massive belly doesn't fit into any of my regular tight as hell sweaters. If anyone has any suggestions on how to be pregnant and warm please let me know.

So I went to the body shop the other day to get a refill off my all in one face base. I've been using a 2 for the past 6 months or so and it was working just fine for touchups since I hate reapplying mineral foundation. I bought the stupid thing and when I got home the color was wrong so I had to go back to the mall and explain to the girl that the color wasn't the same and she asks to look at my old compact like im a retard that can't tell the most obvious color discrepencies apart. I hate salespeople I hate them even more when the try to upsell you some garbage. They don't even have my color anymore so I had to get this random foundation thing which I'm kinda regretting now. I should always just invest in stretch mark cream.

I also picked up some nivea creams since pink (link on the right side of the page) says they're amazing and I'll buy anything that's on sale. I dunno if I just applied body cream to my face but I used the blue tin cream and my face is feeling insanely greasey and gross right now. I think I might start using this on my ashy legs instead. The other nivea soft lotion is really nice though it absorbed into my dry skin right away and smells really fresh and light.

the morning after: my face was so freaking soft and i apologize for doubting the affects of this product. i don't know if i'll continue using this on a day to day basis cause it is majorly heavy and greasy feeling but it does seem to moisturize the crap out of my skin which is nice. i bought the hugest tub of this stuff so i'm gonna have to use it for something though and maybe i'll get used to the texture and change my mind. i've used it again this evening with my body shop whitening serum as a base and it applied much smoother. without the serum the consistency is way too chunky and kinda drags across my face which would eventually lead to premature wrinkles! i have to find my freaking usb cable to upload pictures but i'll show the size difference from my regular face cream and the giant nivea tub.

blogging from phone in bed

this seemed like such a good idea in my head but it's actually quite the bitch typing out a whole blog this way. Hopefully this won't look too crapped up since my HTML knowledge is non existent which kinda puts me to shame since my hubby's a computer nerd and I was a monster asian avenue addict back in the day. I've officially been back in Vancouver for one week and I'm lonely as hell. I freaking hate sleeping without a snoring monster stealing all the blankets beside me. Can't believe I actually miss that shithole Montreal, atleast one part of it. Sitting on your ass all day waiting to give birth sucks too it's like impending doom but at the same time you're all giddy about meeting the newest member of the family. I have to do my freaking gestational diabetes test tomorrow even though I'm 6 weeks late for it. This test is one of the worst blood tests you'll ever take while pregnant, not only can you not eat for ten hours beforehand you gotta drink this orange flavored ass water once you get there and then sit around for an hour before someone takes your blood. Yeah it's not the end of the world to nor eat for ten hours normally but ten hours of not eating when you're 34 weeks pregnant is pure torture. I better not have this diabetes thing either or I'm gonna have to watch what I eat which is something I've never done before nor plan to do until I hit thirty start to get chunky and worry if I look better than the other moms on PTA. Dammit I'm all ragey cause I'm co dependant and filled with guilt that my hubby's starving and wasting away to nothing. Damn you French speaking bastard doctors and nurses or else I could've just had the baby there!

back to vancouver

i'm leaving on a jet plane in about 4 hours and i think i'm gonna throw up! i freaking hate flying but flying with two babies while you're pregnant isn't the smartest thing in the world either. i spent the entire morning tiding up and packing some last minute snacks for the babies. i really hope i can keep them entertained for 5 hours or i'm just gonna lock myself up in the tiny washroom and not come out until we land.

recent buys

isn't this freaking cute?!?!? they're salt and pepper shakers that hug each other! the holes are in their faces so it kinda looks like they're little ghosts. i love buying random kitchen crap that is completely impractical but just so damn cute. plus i have guests coming over this next month and since i won't be in town for any of these visitors i thought i should make the kitchen look a little more me before i left.

oh and here's another picture of my baby girl from last night. she looks like a linebacker that's about to attack someone. i know i'm so in love with her! she makes the funniest faces.

baking baking

i've been trying to bake more lately since the kids are getting older and i'd rather they snacked on things that i know the exact ingredients for rather than preservative packed store bought crap. my first attempt was a blueberry muffin with a struesel topping, which i thought was delicious! but it was too sweet for almost everyone else. whatever though i'll probably make it again since the presentation was pretty and it was simple to make. the picture to the right was a raspberry white chocolate muffin. it turned out alright but wasn't really that great or popular in the household as none of us really like raspberries or white chocolate. i'm still feeling out the new camera and the manual focus so the picture is a lil bit out of focus but i'll figure it out sooner or later.

this was my very first try at baking fresh bread and the end result was very monet. it was really nice from far away but once you get up close it turned into a big ol' mess. never again will i follow a recipe from a skeezy looking guy from youtube. also, no knead bread will probably end up being no eat bread as well. well at least now i know that if i want to make bread properly you MUST knead the crap out of it and let it RISE!! i'm gonna try this bread thing again later this week before i head back to vancouver cause my baby boy will not eat anything but carbs.

oli's 1st birthday

here's my baby girl from a few months ago, i love how she's sitting i the trunk space of the wagon which is now her designated spot when we go for park outtings. she's 1 year old already and it kinda makes me sad to think about how fast the past year went by. we didn't really do much for her birthday this year and just kept it a low key family event since her uncle and future aunt were in town visiting. i did manage to bake her a cake which was my very first successful attempt at baking. can you see the heart on top of the circular cake. i know the colors are so fourth of july but these were the sweetest freshest fruits i could find in the garbage they call supermarkets here in montreal. she was a little apprehensive about destroying it at first cause i'm pretty sure she thought she would get in big trouble but after feeling it out a bit she destroyed this sucker. none of the adults ate any of this cake though and we bought a mediocre strawberry cheesecake from a once delicious bakery later that night. no pictures of that thing but it was pretty not special so it did not deserve a picture.


here she is destroying the cake and at the same time her pretty new dress. don't worry! someone is sitting behind her and she didn't fall off the table. later that night came birthday presents which ended up being more fun for her brother and uncle. i don't think there are any pictures of the present opening but she got a bunch of new clothes, a hello kitty beauty salon, a dora/diego bath toy and this baby thing that balls go through tubes and bounce on things. i loooove birthdays especially baby ones cause they're just so happy and innocent and not greedy for more presents. i'm gonna enjoy these moments cause i'm not really looking forward to getting presents for ungrateful teenagers in about 10 years.
